Most of the cookies we use are what are known as “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser during your next visit.

You can adjust your browser setting to ensure that you will be notified about the placing of any cookies and allow cookies only in particular cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or generally, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. The deactivation of cookies may restrict the functionality of this website.

Cookies that are required to implement the electronic communication process or to provide certain features (e.g. shopping cart feature) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically fault-free and optimised provision of its services. Where other cookies (e.g. cookies for the analysis of your browsing behaviour) are stored, these are dealt with separately in this privacy statement.

7. Google Web Fonts

Our website uses Google Web Fonts. This is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

By using these Web Fonts, we are able to present you with our desired design of our website, regardless of which fonts you have available on your computer. This is done by retrieving the Google Web Fonts from a server located in the USA and the associated transfer of your data to Google. The data in question is your IP address and information on which of our pages you visited. The use of Google Web Fonts is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in the best possible representation and transmission of our website.

8. Analysis tools and advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses features of the web analytics service Google Analytics. This is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer and help analyse how you use the website. The information gathered by the cookie about your usage of this website is typically transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The storage of Google Analytics cookies is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.

Google Tag Manager

On our website we use Google Tag Manager provided by Google (see “Google Tools in general”). Google Tag Manager itself does not collect any personal data. Using Google Tag Manager, website tags can be easily integrated and managed. Tags are small elements of code. The tool triggers these tags, which in turn may log data. This means, for example, that Google Analytics including any opt-out options can be integrated into a website. If tags have been deactivated, Google Tag Manager will take this into account.

Google Maps

On our website we use Google Maps provided by Google (see “Google Tools in general”). Google Maps allows us, for example, to display locations of sales outlets. The processed data includes, in particular, IP addresses and location data of users, which is, however, only collected with a user’s consent. Default settings for location data can, on the one hand, be configured in any browser and, on the other, may have to be manually entered for certain features (e.g. route planner).

Contrary to the legal basis referred to under “Google Tools in general”, the legal basis for processing is the user’s consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR with regard to data provided voluntarily.

Opt-out: https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated

IP anonymisation

We have activated the IP anonymisation feature on this website. Within the member states of the European Union or in other parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area, your IP address will be truncated by Google prior to transfer to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA, where it will be abbreviated. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to analyse your usage of the website, compile reports about website activities and provide the website operator with further services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transferred by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Browser plugin

You can change the appropriate settings in your browser software to prevent cookies from being stored. However, we must point out that doing so may mean that you can no longer use the full features of the website. In addition, you can prevent the data generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) being sent to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Objection to data collection

You can prevent your data being collected by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be placed, which prevents the collection of your data in any future visits to this website: disable Google Analytics.

For more information on how Google Analytics handles user data, please refer to Google’s privacy policy:https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Google Analytics “Demographics and Interests”

This website uses the “Demographics and Interests” feature of Google Analytics. This allows reports to be generated that contain information about the age, gender and interest of the visitors of a website. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and visitor data from third parties. This data cannot be linked to a specific person. You can deactivate this feature at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described above under “Objection to data collection”.
